Right to Information (RTI)
The Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI Act) is an Act of the Parliament of India to provide for setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities.
As per the RTI Act, any citizen of India may request information from a "public authority" (a body of Government or "instrumentality of State") which is required to reply expeditiously or within thirty days.

How to File RTI Application
To file an RTI application, please follow these steps:
- Download the RTI application form or write your request on plain paper
- Mention "Application under RTI Act, 2005" at the top
- Clearly state the information you seek
- Pay the application fee (if applicable)
- Submit to the Public Information Officer
